About

Leigh Ann Christian

Connection, Direction, Wisdom, Humor. Every therapist has their own style, and mine is warm, casual, attentive. I’m not the sort of therapist who sits quietly and stares at you (although there are times that’s appropriate). I am interactive, able to detect patterns and connect the dots, able to bring gentle confrontation and unconditional acceptance. I believe you know best what you need, and my job is to help you achieve that.

My Path

I am a licensed clinical social worker and addiction counselor. I love being a therapist.  My interest evolved while working as a professional organizer and seeing firsthand the impact of mental illness on people and their homes, businesses, and relationships. I like bringing order out of chaos, whether physically or mentally!  Collaborating on your growth and prosperity is exciting and gratifying.

My professional experiences include inpatient treatment, community health, and creating and implementing therapy groups for specific populations, ethics and quality assurance, and program development.

My personal experiences include being an Army Brat, which has broadened my perspective of cultural and human issues, and an appreciation for diversity.  I have been married and divorced, have four adult children, and one grand-dog.  I enjoy fresh air, good conversation, live music, art and dance, and am always up for a good adventure.
